First GIR Tournament - Posted on 2/16/08
The first Georgia Intercollegiate Racquetball tournament was a great success. The tournament was held on Saturday, January 26th and the University of Georgia. Players showed up to represent the schools of Georgia Tech, University of Georgia, and Life University. Emory had been scheduled to compete, but due to time conflicts was not able to make it.
The results of the tournament are as follows:
#1 - Georgia Tech :: 100 Qualifying Points
#2 - Life University :: 36 Qualifying Points
#3 - University of Georgia :: 29 Qualifying Points
Georgia Tech showed off just how good we are at racquetball. The results of the tournament are very encouraging and Georgia Tech now looks to extend its domination to the entire Southeast. Look out for results of tournaments throughout the next year to witness the rising greatness of the Georgia Tech Racquetball Club.
